1. Leonardo AI: personal models and private output
Leonardo's pricing page lists a Free plan (150 fast tokens a day, with public creations), Essential at $12 a month (8,500 fast tokens a month, private creations, 10 personal AI models, 2 simultaneous generations), Premium at $30 (25,000 tokens, 20 personal AI models, relaxed-pace unlimited image generation on select models) and Ultimate at $60 (60,000 tokens, 50 personal AI models, unlimited relaxed image and video on select models). Team Starter is $72 a month for 3 seats. The page has a yearly discount toggle that did not change the displayed text when we clicked it, so we cannot say whether the figures are monthly or yearly prices. We also could not confirm commercial-use rights, resolution or likeness rules.
2. Midjourney: monthly or yearly, with relaxed modes
Midjourney lists four paid plans and no free trial on the comparison page: Basic at $10 a month ($96 a year), Standard at $30 ($288 a year), Pro at $60 ($576) and Mega at $120 ($1,152). Annual billing is a 20% discount paid upfront. Basic has 3.3 fast hours a month, Standard has 15 with unlimited Relax images, and Pro and Mega have 30 and 60 fast hours; extra GPU time is $4 an hour. Stealth Mode, which keeps your images private, is only on Pro and Mega, and all four plans list General Commercial Terms for usage rights (we did not read the footnote). Midjourney's community guidelines say not to create or use imagery of real people, famous or otherwise, that could be used to harass, abuse, defame or otherwise harm, and that content must be safe for work.
3. Photo AI: a model of your own likeness
Photo AI, formerly known as Avatar AI according to its footer, has no free plan. On monthly billing it is $19 (Starter, 50 credits), $49 (Pro, 1,000 credits), $99 (Max, 3,000) and $199 (Ultra, 10,000). On yearly billing the per-month prices are $9, $29, $49 and $99, and the page shows a limited-time promotion of six months free. Starter is for personal use only and lists low likeness and one photo at a time; Pro adds a commercial use licence, 48 free photos per model and up to 4 parallel generations. Max adds photo editing tools and AI video, and Ultra adds unlimited photo storage. We could not read its terms or likeness policy because the terms pages returned errors.
4. Canva: AI images inside a layout editor
Canva's Free plan allows up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses and 5 GB of storage. Pro is $144 a year for one person with 10 times more AI than Free, 100 GB and a free trial, and Business is $250 a year per person with 20 times more AI. An AI Pass add-on is sold separately, and Canva says allowances are shared across tools at different rates, so actual usage may be lower. Under Canva's AI product terms you may use output for any lawful purpose at your own risk, and outputs may not be unique. We could not read monthly prices.
Virtual models that resemble a real person can break a platform's rules or the person's rights. Midjourney's guidelines are the only likeness rules we could read in full, so read each vendor's policy before using anyone's face.
